The state government will honour the toppers of all three streams of 10th and 12th board in Jharkhand by giving them cash prizes. The money will be paid to the first, second and third toppers of Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE) boards. The first topper will get three lakh rupees, the second will get two lakhs and the third topper will get one lakh rupees. Along with this, a laptop and a smart phone will also be given. Jharkhand School Education and Literacy Department has started its preparations. Preparations are underway to get the list of toppers from the concerned boards.
The amount could not be paid in 2023 The education department will give this amount to the toppers of class 10th and 12th as well as the toppers of 2023 in 2024. The amount could not be paid in 2023. In such a situation, the list of toppers of all three faculties of class 10th and 12th has been sought from the concerned board in both the years. The list of board toppers will be easily available from Jharkhand Academic Council, but there may be some delay in this from CBSE and ICSE Board.
The honoring started from 2020
The toppers of 2022 were honored in 2023. No ceremony was organized for the toppers of 2023, due to which they have been deprived of it till now. The scheme was started by the state government in 2020, but in 2021, the toppers were not selected as there was no 10th-12th examination and promotion was done on the basis of previous class.
Organized after the Lok Sabha election results were announced
The code of conduct will end after the results of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 are declared in June. Along with this, a provision of funds will be made in the state cabinet and after getting approval, the amount will be distributed among the toppers by organizing a program. The program can be organized in July.
