2 MBBS Students among 4 Held for 'Doctoring' NEET, as Delhi Police Busts Paper-solving Racket

The gang would take large sums of money from aspirants to provide them with proxy students for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test.

In a major crackdown on cheating in NEET 2024, the Special Staff of New Delhi District has arrested four individuals involved in a paper-solving racket.

Those arrested include two MBBS students from government medical colleges along with individuals who facilitated their participation in the scheme:

1) Kishor Lal: He is 27 years of age and a resident of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. While working as a medical school admissions consultant, the accused identified top-performing students. He then offered them money in an apparent attempt to manipulate the admissions process.

2) Prabhat Kumar: He is 37 years of age and a resident of Patna, Bihar. The accused previously operated a coaching academy there.

3) Sumit Mandoliya: Originally from Jaipur, Rajasthan, he is currently a second-year MBBS student at a medical college in West Bengal.

4) Krishan Kesarwani: A resident of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, he is currently in his first year of MBBS studies at a medical college in Uttarakhand.

On May 5, two students were caught with mismatched biometric data during the NEET exam at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Mehta Vidyalaya in New Delhi.

Accordingly, a case (FIR No 42/24 under section 419/420/468/471/34 IPC) was registered at Tilak Marg police station and the alleged proxy students Sumit Mandoliya and Krishan Kesarwani, were arrested.
