Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has reduced the number of vacancies for Head Teachers. The Commission has released the revised vacancies. After the amendment, 2304 posts have been reduced in the released vacancies. The vacancies have been released as per the old reservation roster. The Commission on Friday released the revised category wise vacancy for appointment to 40,247 posts of head teachers in primary schools of the state. In the revised vacancy of Head Teacher, the total number of seats has decreased from 40,247 to 37 thousand 943.

Earlier, 14 thousand 93 vacancies were fixed for women of different categories, now it has become 12 thousand 583. Commission Secretary Satyaprakash Sharma said that after the order passed by the Supreme Court, the General Administration Department has sent a letter to modify the category wise vacancy released on March 1, 2024. The vacancy for general category women has increased from 3529 to 5312. Vacancy of grandchildren of freedom fighters is 803 to 759, Economically Weaker Section is 4018 to 3791, Scheduled Caste is 8041 to 6069, Scheduled Caste is 806 to 393, Extremely Backward Class is 10,056 to 6822, Backward Class The vacancy has increased from 7245 to 4549. 1139 posts have been marked for backward class women. Earlier, 1609 posts have been identified for disabled candidates. Now the commission will release the result as per the old roster.

1.25 lakh candidates had appeared. The examination for head teachers was conducted three months ago. About 1.25 lakh teachers had appeared in this examination. Even before this, examination was held for the appointment of head teachers. Only 421 candidates were successful in this. However, this time the examination has been conducted with amendments. In such a situation, more results are expected.
