In Allahabad University, in the academic session 2024-25 also, admissions to undergraduate courses will be done through Central University Entrance Test (CUET). On Wednesday, the second day after the online application for CUET started on Tuesday, the university administration has clarified its position. Recently, there was a discussion in the Executive Council meeting whether admission to graduation should be taken through CUET or the university administration should conduct the entrance examination at its own level. IVV's PRO Prof. Jaya Kapoor says that graduate admissions will be through CUET only.
Earlier, IVV used to take admission in graduation from its own level, but after the introduction of CUET, the admission process started at all India level and the session started lagging behind. In institutions where thousands of students used to queue for admission, despite taking direct admission, hundreds of seats remained vacant. The result of this is that the graduation session in IVV and affiliated colleges has lagged far behind.
The CUET application process has started from Tuesday and will end on March 26. The Central Universities Combined Entrance Test (CUCET)-Undergraduate examination will be conducted from May 15 to 31 in hybrid mode in two or three shifts daily and the results of the examination will be declared on June 30. National Testing Agency (NTA) announced this on Tuesday.
This important examination for admission to undergraduate courses will be conducted in 380 cities including 26 foreign cities in 13 languages. CUET (Graduate) – 2024 examination for the academic session 2024-25 will be conducted in hybrid mode. The decision to conduct the examination through Computer-Based Test (CBT) or pen-paper mode will be that of NTA, taking into account various factors.
