Like last year, this year too, undergraduate admissions in Delhi University's School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) will not be done through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The admission branch of the university has made it clear that admissions in these two institutions affiliated to DU will be done on the basis of 12th marks only. Director Prof. Geeta Bhatt says that the application process in NCWeb is likely to start only after the 12th exam results. A large number of working girl students apply to us every year. Here there is no admission through CUET, there is a provision for admission only on the basis of 12th marks.
Let us tell you that only BA, B.Com courses are offered in graduation under NCWeb. DU had launched NCWeb system to encourage women's education. Girls students taking admission through this have to attend classes only on Saturday, Sunday or only on Sunday and academic breaks of Delhi University. Girls who cannot take admission in regular college due to some reason can choose this option. In this way they can continue their work or job simultaneously.
There is no limit on seats in SOL. There are rules for admission in each subject, which are given on the website. Admission to undergraduate level courses in SOL is based on class 12 marks. Both the procedures are followed for admission to postgraduate level courses.
