Uttarakhand Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat on Tuesday ordered recruitment to 3600 vacant posts of basic teachers in government schools of the state. The Director of Education has been asked to issue notifications on district-wise vacant posts as soon as possible. This recruitment process was pending for the last several years. The Education Minister said that the eligible candidates who had previously applied for recruitment in the year 2020 and year 2021. They will not need to apply afresh. Such candidates will be considered eligible for new recruitment as per the previous application. It is known that on the orders of the Supreme Court, the government has set new standards for the eligibility of basic teacher in the State Elementary Education (Teacher) Service Rules 2024 issued on May 6. According to this, B.Ed degree has been removed from the eligibility of basic teacher. Only two-year D.El.Ed, two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) i.e. D.Ed and four-year B.El.Ed can apply for basic teacher.
Directorate of Education started preparations:
Education Minister Ramkrishna Uniyal said that the process of basic teacher recruitment will be started soon. All DEO-Basic have been asked to check the actual number of vacant posts. He said that according to the new rules, candidates with B.Ed degree will not be included in the recruitment process. People of Uttarakhand origin who have completed educational qualifications like D.El.Ed etc. from legally recognized institutions of other states will also be eligible to apply.
Recruitment advertisement will be released soon:
The advertisement for the recruitment of basic teachers in Uttarakhand will be released soon. It is expected that the application process for teacher recruitment will be started soon in the coming days. This recruitment process will be linked with the ongoing recruitment from 2020 and 2021. That is, the applications that were taken through advertisements earlier will be valid for this recruitment as well. The state government has implemented the Elementary Education Rules 2024, under which new standards have been set for new teacher posts on the orders of the Supreme Court.
