JoSAA Counselling 2024 dates: Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the schedule of counseling for admission in the country's prestigious institutes IIT, NIT, Triple IT. The process of registration and choice filling for JoSAA Counseling 2024 will start from 5 pm on June 10 on the official website josaa.nic.in. Candidates who pass JEE Main and JEE Advanced will be able to apply for admission to B.Tech and other courses in National Institute of Technology (NIT), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), IIEST, IIIT and other GFTI technical institutes through JoSAA counseling. To participate in this process, students have to register. For this, JEE Main application number and password will be required. After this, the candidates will select the college and course of their choice. JEE Advanced result will be declared on 9 June at jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates who qualify for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) can fill their AAT-specific choices from June 14, 2024 after the declaration of AAT result.
There will be five rounds of JoSAA counselling with one extra round for NIT+ system. Students will be allotted institutes and seats based on their rank and choice. Candidates will have the option to withdraw or opt out of the seat allocation process. Last year, there were six rounds of JoSAA counselling. Admission in 23 IITs will be based on JEE Advanced rank. At the same time, admission in other institutes will be based on JEE Main rank.
