The passion to become an army officer was such that even 14 failed attempts could not shake the spirit of Jamwal of Jammu and Kashmir. As a soldier in the army, he gave 14 exams to become an officer and he kept failing continuously. But, he did not let himself break down after every failure. With double hard work and courage, he kept preparing to become an officer. With passing out from IMA on Saturday, Jamwal's dream of becoming an army officer was also fulfilled. His family is very happy with this success. JSS Jamwal, a resident of Bayalta in Jammu and Kashmir, who became a lieutenant in the army, has now become the first army officer after being a third generation soldier in his family. He is an inspiration for the youth who go astray after failing in a few attempts. Jamwal, who closely saw and understood the problem of terrorism, succeeded in becoming an army officer in the 15th attempt.

He tried CDS and AF CAT five times each. Apart from this, he even gave the exam of Coast Guard and AEC. Finally, in his 15th attempt, he became an officer in the army. Jamwal told that like his father, he too joined the army as a soldier. However, he had a desire to become an officer. Therefore, he started trying for it as soon as he got recruited.

He said that his soldier father encouraged him. Jamwal kept trying continuously. He was disappointed after failing many times. But his soldier father would encourage him to move ahead and prepare with twice the hard work. The result was seen on Saturday. Jamwal's success story is also a lesson for the younger generation.
