BTech Admission: Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the category wise top 20 percentile cut-off marks for the board examinations of the year 2023 and 2024. The eligibility of the candidate for BTech admission will be decided by the rule of top 20 percentile marks. To get admission in prestigious institutions like IIT and NIT, one must have at least 75 percent marks in the 12th board exam (65 percent for SC, ST and Divyang) or one should be among the top 20 percentile candidates in the respective board exam result. It is being told that this time due to being out of the top 20 percentile candidates and not getting 75 percent marks in the 12th board exam, the dreams of many students of IIT and NIT have been shattered.
Let us tell you that Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counseling is done for admission in the country's prestigious institutes IIT, NIT, Triple IT. Candidates who pass JEE Main and JEE Advanced will be able to apply for admission in B.Tech and other courses in National Institute of Technology (NIT), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), IIEST, IIIT and other GFTI technical institutes through JoSAA counseling. There will be five rounds in JoSAA counseling with one extra round for NIT+ system. Students will be allotted institutes and seats on the basis of their rank and choice.
