Teachers Recruitment in Gujarat: The Gujarat government has announced a bumper recruitment of teachers in the state. Gujarat government spokesperson and minister Rishikesh Patel announced the decision related to teacher recruitment on Wednesday. He said that the Gujarat government has decided to recruit 7,500 teachers who have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TAT) as permanent teachers in secondary and higher secondary government and aided schools. These recruitments will be done during the next three months.
TAT qualification is a must
Earlier, eligible candidates had staged a protest demanding recruitment and government jobs. Government spokesperson and minister Rishikesh Patel, while informing about the decision related to teacher recruitment, said that the government aims to fill the vacancies in the next three months. It is necessary to pass TAT to be appointed as a teacher in secondary and higher secondary schools.
Recruitment will be done in the next three months
The state cabinet led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel took this decision. Minister Rishikesh Patel said that 7,500 teachers will be permanently recruited in secondary and higher secondary government and aided schools in the next three months. In the recruitment process, merit will be given priority for posts in aided schools.
Recruitment of 18,382 teachers in 10 years
3,500 TAT-qualified candidates will be recruited for secondary schools while 4,000 candidates will be recruited for higher secondary schools. This includes appointments in both government and grant-in-aid institutions. During the last decade, Gujarat has appointed a total of 18,382 teachers on permanent posts. Not only this, 1,500 principals have been appointed through Headmaster Aptitude Test (HAT). A government spokesperson said that this initiative shows the government's continuous efforts to strengthen the educational infrastructure.
