CBI has taken over the NEET (UG) paper leak case related to the irregularities in Patna, Gujarat and Rajasthan. According to CBI sources, now CBI will investigate this case. Earlier, in the NEET paper leak case, the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) team raided the Ekangarasrai block of Nalanda and detained a person. The name of the person detained for questioning was Rakesh Kumar. According to the discussion among the local people, he has been a member of the solver gang. It is known that Nalanda's name has been associated with the NEET case since the beginning. The names of Nagarnausa resident Sanjeev Mukhiya, his son Dr. Shiv and half a dozen associates are also coming up in it. These people are also accused in the BPSC teacher recruitment exam paper leak case. Many of these people are already in police custody. Many more people from Nalanda may be involved in the NEET case. Due to this, the EOU team has raided there several times.

According to sources, special teams have been formed by the CBI to investigate the matter on top priority. These teams are being sent to Patna in Bihar and Godhra in Gujarat. Officials said that the CBI will take over the NEET related FIRs registered in the states and will also contact the police officials. According to sources, the special team of CBI in Jharkhand can also conduct raids to arrest other criminals involved in the rigging.

Several petitions are pending in the Supreme Court demanding a CBI inquiry into the allegations of rigging and paper leak in NEET UG and demanding a re-examination. The Supreme Court has sought a reply from the Center and NTA in this matter and the hearing of the cases is scheduled for July 8.
