UPSC CSE MAIN EXAM DATE: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the result of Civil Services i.e. CSE Preliminary Examination on the official website on 1 July 2024. The result link is active on the official website upsc.gov.in. Now the candidates who have passed this exam will be given a chance to appear in the main examination of UPSC CSE. This year 14,625 candidates will get a chance to appear in the main examination. This year the Civil Services (Main) Examination 2024 will be held from September 20, which will last for five days. Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination 2024 will be held from November 24.

When will UPSC DAF be released?

As per the examination rules of UPSC CSE, all these candidates have to fill the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024. Dates and important instructions for filling DAF UPSC released the CSE preliminary examination result on July 1 and informed that its submission will be announced on the commission's website in due course. Through the UPSC Civil Services 2024 exam, 1056 vacancies will be filled in central government services and departments. This includes the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Out of the total vacancies, 40 are reserved for persons with benchmark disability category. Last year 1,105 posts were filled, while in 2021 the number of posts was 712 and in the year 2020 the number of posts was 796. The UPSC CSE exam is conducted in three stages, preliminary, main, and interview. Please note, the marks of the preliminary exam result are not added to the final merit list.
