On Friday, the central government filed an affidavit and told the bench hearing the case that the NEET-UG exam cannot be canceled, because the Center says that no evidence of large-scale irregularities has been found in the exam, so there is no need to re-conduct the NEET exam. The Center also said that re-conducting the NEET exam will affect lakhs of candidates and all steps have been taken to maintain the purity of the all-India examination. Demanded to direct the Supreme Court to stop cancellation of examination
Let us tell you that earlier, 56 candidates who have passed NEET-UG from Gujarat have filed a petition in the Supreme Court on Thursday. They have demanded the top court to direct the central government and NTA to stop cancelling the exam. Let us tell you that many of the students who have filed the petition are those who have secured good positions in NEET. The petitioners have also demanded to direct strict action against the culprits.

Candidates with grace marks have been re-tested
On the instructions of the Supreme Court, NTA had conducted the exam on 23 June for only 1563 students who had got grace marks in the first exam. No student has got full marks in the retest. Out of the 813 students who appeared in the exam, six are from Haryana who had got 720 out of 720 marks in the first exam due to grace marks. No student has got full marks in the re-examination. Out of 494 students from Haryana, only 287 appeared in the re-examination. After the declaration of the result, the Medical Counseling Committee can start the counseling process from July 6. It is known that earlier NTA had declared the results of the exam on June 4. In this, 67 students had got 720 marks.
