NEET UG 2024 Supreme Court Hearing: The Supreme Court of India today heard several petitions regarding alleged irregularities in NEET UG 2024, the entrance exam for undergraduate medical courses. This includes alleging irregularities and malpractices in the May 5 exam and seeking directions to conduct it afresh.

A bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud and Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Mishra heard the matter today. In which it was told under what circumstances the examination can be conducted again. The Supreme Court on Monday said that if the sanctity of the medical entrance exam NEET-UG 2024 has been lost and if the leak of the question paper has been publicized through social media, then a re-examination will have to be ordered. If it will not be possible to separate the tainted and the untainted, then in this situation an order will have to be given to conduct the examination again.

The bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud also said that if the question paper has been leaked through Telegram, WhatsApp and electronic means, then it means that the question paper can spread like wildfire. During the hearing, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra said, “One thing is clear that the question paper has been leaked”

The bench said, “If the sanctity of the exam is lost, then a re-examination will have to be ordered. If we are unable to identify the guilty people, then a re-examination will have to be ordered.” If the leak is publicized through social media, then a re-investigation will have to be ordered. The Supreme Court has sought information on what should be done to maintain the sanctity of the NEET exam so that such incidents can be avoided in future.
