Parents work so hard to educate their children and pay their fees. In such a situation, parents get their children admitted to the most expensive coaching centers to prepare for NEET and JEE exams. But what happens when you come to know that the coaching center fees worth lakhs paid from your hard-earned money have gone waste? The coaching center closes overnight? Something similar has happened with more than 300 children studying in FIITJEE coaching centers. FIITJEE coaching centers located in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad of Maharashtra suddenly closed down. When the parents reached there, they found no one except the watchman. After this, parents of many children together lodged an FIR in Chinchwad police station against the fraud of the coaching center.
Pritam Pandey, whose daughter was studying at FIITJEE's Pimpri Chinchwad centre, said, “A week ago, an unofficial meeting was called by Pimpri Chinchwad centre head Rajesh Karna, in which he said that this coaching centre is going to close soon. After this, he called another meeting in which his staff was told that the centre does not have money to pay salaries to the staff and rent of the centre. Pritam Pandey said that since Monday he has been visiting the coaching centre and asking about classes and refund of fees worth lakhs. My daughter studies in class XI, and at the time of admission, I paid a fee of Rs 2 lakh 47 thousand.”
FIITJEE has two centers – Pimpri Chinchwad and Swargate. More than 300 students study at these two centers. Coaching here is from class 8th to 12th. There are foundation courses from class 8th to 10th and class 11th to class 12th. The fees for which are more than 2.5 lakh rupees.
Pritam Pandey also told that there are more than 60 coaching centers of FIITJEE in the country, out of which 5 to 6 coaching centers have been closed. When all of us parents got the news of the closure of the coaching center, we all went to the coaching center, but when we went there, there was no one there except the watchman. After this, all of us went to Pimpri Chinchwad Police Station and lodged an FIR against the coaching center and they are investigating this matter.
On this matter, Senior Police Inspector Jitendra Koli said that we have received a complaint from the parents and as per my information, the State Education Department will investigate this matter. When we get the report of this matter from the State Education Department, we will register an FIR and take action accordingly.
There are many parents whose children had paid lakhs of rupees as fees at the time of admission, but now if they get their child admitted to any other coaching centre, they will have to pay even more fees.
