A decision is expected soon regarding the appointment of Assistant Professors-Principals in aided colleges of Uttar Pradesh, teachers-principals in aided junior high schools, high schools and intermediate colleges and the organization of Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET). The newly appointed chairperson of Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, Prof. Kirti Pandey, has formed committees on all points and has sought a report. After receiving the report, further action will be taken after taking approval from the government.
Meanwhile, the commission's chairman, secretary Manoj Kumar and other officials are also engaged in other preparations so that work can start soon after receiving the report of the committees. The activities of the commission, which is the center of hopes of more than 20 lakh competitive students, are expected to start this month. However, the Basic Education Department, which provides the maximum number of jobs, is lagging behind. No proposal has been received for recruitment of assistant teachers in council primary schools. In such a situation, the officials of the new commission are going to contact the officers of the Basic Education Department on priority basis.

D.El.Ed (formerly BTC) passed candidates staged a sit-in protest at Patthar Church for the second day on Friday demanding new teacher recruitment. Candidates say that there has been no recruitment for six years. Lakhs of unemployed are waiting for new recruitment. They will not end the protest until the recruitment advertisement is issued. D.El.Ed President Rajat Singh, who was leading the protest, said that if the recruitment process does not start within a week, a grand protest will be called soon. Demand raised for recruitment on 25 thousand posts
The competitive student delegation has sent a letter to the Chief Minister demanding to add the 25 thousand vacant posts of TGT-PGT in the old advertisement.
