SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam 2024: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) CGL Tier-1 Exam 2024 is starting tomorrow from 9th September, 2024. This exam will end on 26th September, 2024. Candidates are advised to carry a photocopy of the admit card, valid photo ID card (Aadhaar card, passport, driving license) with them to the exam center.
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the admit cards for Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) Tier-1 exam. Candidates can download them by visiting their regional SSC websites. SSC CGL Tier-1 exam will be held between 9 September and 26 September. Online applications were accepted from 24 June to 27 July for recruitment to 17,727 CGL posts. Through this exam, selection will be done for Group B and C posts in central government departments. About 30 lakh youth from all over the country have applied for this recruitment.
SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam Pattern-
SSC CGL exam will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT). In this, candidates will be asked 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ). Candidates will be given 2 marks for answering each question correctly. For this, candidates will be given 1 hour. SSC CGL Tier-1 paper is divided into four parts-
1. General Knowledge
2. Reasoning
3. Maths
4. English subject
SSC CGL GK 2024 (General Knowledge)-
In the SSC CGL Tier-1 exam, questions are asked from history, culture, geography, economics, scientific research, current affairs, general policy, politics and international issues in general knowledge. You must read these.
SSC CGL English Syllabus-
Questions are asked from topics like synonyms, spotting errors, reading comprehension, fill in the blanks, sentence completion, correct spelling, antonyms, sentence improvement, idioms and phrases, spelling test, one word substitution and direct/indirect speech. You must prepare these for the exam.
SSC CGL Maths Important Topics-
You must study these topics in Maths in SSC CGL Tier-1. Number Series, Fractions and Decimals, Ratio, Trigonometry, Arithmetic, Time and Distance, Work Time, Square Root, Mensuration, Height and Distance, Partnership Business, Discount, Profit and Loss, Interest, Average, Algebra, Triangles, Degree and Radian Measures, Standard Identities, Complementary Angles, Histogram, Frequency Polygon, Bar Diagram and Pie Chart etc.
SSC CGL 2024 Reasoning Syllabus-
Some of the important topics of Reasoning for SSC CGL Tier 1 are – Similarities and Differences, Space Visualization, Spatial Orientation, Problem-Solving, Visual Memory, Discrimination, Observation, Concepts of Relationships, Arithmetical Reasoning and Figurative Classification, Non-Verbal Series, Coding and Decoding, Statement Conclusion, Syllogistic Reasoning, Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Figurative Analogy, Semantic Classification, Symbolic/Number Classification, Figurative Classification, Semantic Series Number Series, Figurative Series Problem-Solving, Word Building, Coding and Decoding etc.
Let us tell you that to pass the CGL Tier-1 exam, candidates of the general category will have to score 30 percent qualifying marks. Candidates of OBC and EWS category will have to score 25 percent qualifying marks and candidates of other categories will have to score 20 percent qualifying marks.
