Under Muzaffarpur Army Recruitment Board, 722 youth from eight districts have been finally selected for Agniveer. Among them there are also 70 NCC cadets with C certificate. An NCC official said that the cadets selected for Agniveer are from very ordinary families. He told that the fathers of two dozen cadets from Meenpura, Katra, Bochahan and Kudhni are farmers. Along with his studies, he obtained A, B and then 'C' certificate of NCC. He told that two cadets of Paru and Sakra, along with studies and NCC course, also ran their father's grocery shop. While running a grocery shop, he had also prepared to join Agniveer.
Students from rural areas join NCC more.
The military officer said that more than 100 'C' certificate pass NCC cadets had joined the army recruitment. Of these, 70 were finally selected. All these cadets belong to Muzaffarpur battalion.
