NCERT Director Dinesh Prasad Saklani said this during the bhoomi pujan ceremony for the development of the auditorium at the headquarters of the National Council of Educational Research and Training. This program was presided over by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
What did the director say?
According to Director Dinesh Prasad, this is the first time that such relaxation has been given in NCERT books. This year, NCERT has increased the purchase of paper and used new printing machines so that more books can be printed in less time. A plan has been made to directly benefit the students of the country, especially those students who are going to go to class 9-12 from the next session.

Let us tell you that textbooks of classes 1-8 will continue to be retailed at Rs 65 per copy. During this event, an MoU was signed between NCERT and Flipkart to increase the reach of NCERT textbooks.
