In Delhi, the race for admission to reserved Economically Backward Class (EWS) / Free Category seats from class II to IX in private schools in the academic session 2024-25 will start from September 3. The private school branch of the Directorate of Education has issued guidelines. According to this, one has to apply online by September 13 by going to the EWS link on the website www.edudel.nic.in. The first computerized draw will be held on September 20. Candidates selected in the draw will be able to report to the school for admission by October 4. One application will be valid from one mobile number. Aadhar card of parents is mandatory during application. Residents of Delhi are eligible for admission on EWS seat. For this, residence certificate and income certificate issued by the Revenue Department will be valid, in which the annual income should be less than one lakh. Also, BPL and AAY card holders will also be able to apply for admission.
Helpline number issued: Helpline number 9818154069 has been issued for complaints and questions related to the process. There will be a monitoring cell under the chairmanship of the District Deputy Education Director regarding admission. Which will hear the complaints related to admission. Also, it will ensure the admission of the candidate selected in the computerized draw. Schools will not be able to ask for donation Schools will not be able to ask for capitation fee / donation fee for admission.
Directorate appointed nodal officer
15 nodal officers have been appointed to ensure admission to seats for Economically Backward Classes (EWS), Disadvantaged Classes (DG) and children with special needs at entry level (nursery, KG and first grade) in private schools of Delhi. In this regard, the private school branch of the Directorate of Education has issued a circular.
You will have to apply again for correction
If an applicant wants to make corrections in the form after filling it, he will have to first delete the application and apply again. Also, after selection in the draw, if the applicant fills a different address during admission in the school than the one mentioned in the online application, then the school can cancel the admission. Residential address is the main criteria for admission for the computerized draw.
