Railway Recruitment Board is going to open the application window once again after increasing the number of vacancies for Technician Recruitment. Earlier this recruitment was done for 9144 posts. But now this recruitment will be on 14298 posts. The application window will reopen on October 2 and close on October 16, 2024. During this window, new candidates will also be allowed to apply for recruitment and candidates who have already applied will be able to modify their choices. They will be able to make changes in the application form.
RRB issued rules for correction
Candidates who have applied and paid fees in any one or more categories will be considered as existing candidates. They can avail the correction window without paying any extra charges. These candidates can apply for existing or newly added categories and can modify the already selected categories.
– Existing candidates will only have the option to make corrections in educational qualification, re-upload photo and signature and change RRB and post qualification.
– Existing candidates are not required to submit fresh applications.
– New candidates are those who had previously submitted their applications but not paid the fees, who have applied and paid fees for Category 1 (Technician Grade 1 Signal) post but for Technician Grade 3 post. Have not applied. Candidates who have applied for other recruitment drives conducted by RRB this year other than the one for Technician under CEN 02/2024 and who have not applied for any recruitment drive conducted by RRB this year are also considered as fresh candidates. Will go.
– New candidates can apply for Technician posts under Categories 2 to 40 during the reopened application window.
There will be examination in only one phase
This time there will be only one paper in RRB Technician Recruitment. This is a big relief for the applicants. In the year 2018, when the recruitment of 26000 ALP Technicians was released, a two-stage CBT exam was conducted for the post of Technician.
Technician Grade – I CBT Exam Pattern
Time will be 90 minutes and there will be 100 questions. To qualify this, unreserved category candidates will have to score 40%, OBC candidates will have to score 30%, SC will have to score 30% and ST candidates will have to score 25%. 10 questions will be asked from General Awareness, 15 from General Intelligence and Reasoning, 20 from Basic of Computer and Applications, 20 from Maths, 35 from Basic Science and Engineering. Each question will be of one mark.
Technician Grade – III – CBT Exam Pattern
Time will be 90 minutes and there will be 100 questions. To qualify this, unreserved category candidates will have to score 40%, OBC candidates will have to score 30%, SC will have to score 30% and ST candidates will have to score 25%. 10 questions will be asked from General Awareness, 25 from General Intelligence and Reasoning, 25 from Maths and 40 from General Science. Each question will be of one mark.

There will be negative marking in CBT. One third mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
