The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), which is facing strong opposition from the candidates for giving exam centers hundreds of kilometers away, has been accused of another crime. Candidates have claimed that a confidential letter of NBEMS related to NEET PG has been leaked. How can it be said that the NEET PG paper will not be leaked? The All FMG Association tweeted on the social media platform X, 'It appears that a confidential letter of NBEMS has been leaked to the public, which contains information about the exam shift and the number of students appearing for the exam. If a confidential letter can be leaked, can we be assured about the security of the NEET PG paper?'

It contains the details of NEET PG exam timing, entry time of candidates, mode of conducting the exam, number of candidates appearing for NEET PG and exam center. According to the notice, the exam will be conducted on August 11, 2024 in two shifts from 9 am to 12:30 pm and from 3:30 pm to 7 pm. While NBEMS has left no stone unturned to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of this examination, we respectfully request your assistance.”

The letter written by NBEMS President Dr Abhijat Sheth has sought support in ensuring uninterrupted power supply at all exam centres during the exam. Sheth also said, “Although the exam is conducted on computers connected to LAN without internet connectivity at the exam centres, internet availability is necessary for downloading encrypted question papers at all exam centres before the commencement of the exam and for uploading the candidates' responses and other exam-related data to the central data centres after the exam.” “Your cooperation is expected in ensuring this minimum availability of internet connectivity at all exam centres,” he said in a letter to the District Magistrates. He also sought help from the district administration in maintaining law and order around the exam centres.

Given the high stakes involved, it is important to deploy adequate security personnel to manage the crowd and traffic and prevent any untoward incident. We request all concerned state officials to be directed to take all possible measures to maintain the integrity and sanctity of the examination, the letter said.

You are requested to depute District Administration staff to monitor the conduct of the examination at the examination centres under your jurisdiction.
