IIT JAM 2025 Application Process: IIT Delhi is starting the registration process for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) exam from tomorrow, September 03. To take admission in various masters programs for the academic session 2025-26, students can visit the official website of IT Delhi. jam2025.iitd.ac.in You can apply online by visiting. The last date for students to apply is 11 October 2024. Students qualifying the IT JAM 2025 exam will be eligible for admission to 3000 seats in IITs in the session 2025-26. Apart from this, students will be able to take admission in 2000 seats of CFTE through IISc, NIT and CCMN counseling on the basis of JAM 2025 score.

Application Fees : Females/SC/ST/PWD category people will have to pay an application fee of Rs 900 for one test paper and Rs 1250 for two test papers. Others will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1800 for one test paper and Rs 2500 for two test papers.

IIT conducts JAM exam for Masters degree in 7 subjects including Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS) and Physics (PH).

Ability :

People of all (Indian/Foreign) nationalities can apply for this exam.

There is no age limit for the exam.

Students who are in the last year of graduation course or who have completed their graduation degree can register for IIT JAM 2025 and appear for the exam. JAM is conducted every year to fill seats in various courses of postgraduate programs. These include M.Sc. M.Sc. (Tech), M.Sc-M.Tech. (Double Degree), MS (Research), Joint M.Sc.-PhD and M.Sc.-PhD Double Degree Program.

Login to fill the application form.

Fill the details required for application carefully and upload required documents including photo, signature, mark sheet.

Check the entered details once again and proceed for fee payment.

Now pay the registration fee. Submit the application form.

Along with this, also take a printout of the application form.

Test Pattern : IIT JAM exam will be CBT (Computer Based Test) based. Multiple choice questions, multiple select questions and numerical answer type questions will be asked in the exam. There will be 3 sections in the paper including A, B, C. In which there will be 60 questions of 100 marks.

Section A – 30 multiple choice questions will be asked. In which 10 questions of 1 mark each and 20 questions of 2 marks each will be asked. There will be 1/3 negative marking for a wrong answer of 1 mark and 2/3 negative marking for a wrong answer of 2 marks.

Section B : 10 multiple select type questions will be asked in this section. There will be no negative marking in this section.

Section C : 20 questions of numerical answer type will be asked in section C. In which 10 questions will be of 1 mark each and 10 questions will be of 2 marks each. There will be no negative marking in this section as well.

Exam Schedule : According to the notification issued by IIT Delhi, the IIT JAM 2025 exam will be conducted in 2 shifts on Sunday, 02 February 2024. This exam will be conducted in 100 cities across the country.

Shift 1 : Chemistry, Geology and Mathematics exams will be held from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Shift 2 : Whereas, in the second shift from 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM, Biotechnology, Economics, Mathematical Statistics and Physics will be conducted. Students can apply for one or two test papers.
