IGNOU Best Innovation Award 2024: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has invited applications for the Best Innovation Award 2024. Students who are currently studying in the union can make their nominations. They are eligible to make nomination. The last date to apply is 15 October 2024.
Students can download the application format and award guidelines by visiting the official website ignou.ac.in or sites.google.com/ignou.ac.in/navrieti/sia-2024. This annual award is being organized by IGNOU since 2018. It is given to the top 3 innovator students by the National Center for Innovation in Distance Education (NCIDE).
The winning student will receive a trophy, certificate and the top three entries will also receive a cash prize. A prize of Rs 10,000 will be given for securing first place, Rs 7,000 for second place and Rs 5,000 for third place. The shortlisted innovators will receive support and mentorship, including various training opportunities, to help them further hone their innovations and take them to the next level, the press release said.
Guidelines-
1. Applications can be sent only through email at ncide@agnou.ac.in. The University will not accept hard copies and handwritten or scanned copies.
2. Shortlisted students will have to give a presentation of their innovation, development process and its working etc. through virtual mode.
3. After the release of the result, the winners will be informed personally as well as through IGNOU website.
4. There are various topics where innovation is accepted, including health care and biomedical devices, agriculture and rural development, food processing and packaging, smart transportation and traffic management, and renewable and affordable energy and alternative fuels among other topics.
