JEE Mains Counselling 2024: This time there will be no mop-up round counselling for admission in engineering colleges of Bihar. This instruction has been given by the Department of Science Technology and Technical Education. The department says that on the basis of the merit list of JEE Mains, online counselling will be conducted twice by the Bihar Joint Entrance Examination Board. After this, students will be admitted to the vacant seats by conducting counselling on the basis of the merit list of Bihar Joint Entrance Competitive Examination.
The department has fixed the last date for online application as June 10. After this, students will not be able to register. There are 14 thousand 359 seats in engineering colleges across Bihar. MIT Registrar Prof. Rajneesh Kumar said that this time admission will be taken on 385 seats in MIT. 30 more seats have been received in Computer Science. Apart from this, the name of Leather Science has been changed to Chemical Science. He said that there are two types of counseling of students in engineering colleges of Bihar. First, the students who get ranking in JEE Mains are counseled. After that, BCECE conducts entrance examination for the seats that are left. Counseling is done again on the basis of the merit list prepared after this examination.
Merit list will be released on 15th June:
The Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education has said in a letter sent to engineering colleges that the merit list will be released on June 15 and counseling will begin after that. The date of the BCECE entrance exam has not been released yet.
Let us tell you that the result of JEE Main 2024 second session was released on 25th April. Students who have got a certain rank in JEE Main can now apply online for the counseling process related to admission in the respective engineering colleges. The admission process has started in many states. The result of JEE Main Paper-2 has also been declared on 19th May 2024.
