Four-year B.Ed course will start in Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University from session 2025-26. After that students will be able to do B.Ed only after doing Intermediate. Students doing this course will get B.Ed and graduation degree. For this, DDU administration has applied to NCTE on Thursday. DDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Poonam Tandon said that through this course, one will get the opportunity to do both University graduation and B.Ed simultaneously. The BA-B.Ed course will be known as Integrated Teacher Education Programme. Only after passing Intermediate, they will start getting employment options in the field of education. This will increase the attraction of students of Purvanchal towards teacher education. On this occasion, Chairperson of the Department of Education, Prof. Sarita Pandey, Prof. Sushma Pandey and Prof. Rajarshi Gaur etc. were present.
Applied for 100-100 seats. The unit of 50-50 seats for B.Ed four-year course has been decided by UGC. DDU administration has applied for two units each in Arts, Science and Commerce faculty on the basis of strong faculty and resources. That means, 100-100 seats have been sought for all three subjects in DDU.
Application for Arts, Science and Commerce, Vice Chancellor of Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Prof. Poonam Tandon said that in this four-year course, there will be separate courses for Arts, Science and Commerce graduates. BA-B.Ed courses will be conducted for graduate arts students, B.Sc.-B.Ed for graduate science students and B.Com-B.Ed courses for graduate commerce students.

MMMUT Vice Chancellor Prof. JP Saini said that preparations are being made by the university for the four-year course of B.Ed. Admission will be taken in the four-year course from the session 2025-26.
