The B.Ed college of Bacha Rai alias Amit Kumar, the main accused in the much talked about topper scam of 2016 in Bihar, is fake. The name of this college is Vishun Rajdev Teachers Training College, whose address is present in Kiratpur of Bhagwanpur block of Vaishali. Bachha Rai's ancestral home and its Vishun Rai College are also present here. ED has written a letter to the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) and Bihar University in Muzaffarpur to cancel all the recognitions of this B.Ed college which is running on paper. This college is affiliated to Bihar University. ED's investigation has revealed the fraud of this college.
The ED has already seized the college's bank account and other things, because a large number of fake transactions were revealed in it. Many revelations have come to light in the ED investigation and interrogation of the so-called teachers working in this college. It was revealed that money was deposited into the teachers' bank accounts every month in the name of salary. Then, on one day in the month, all the teachers were called to the bank and all the amount was withdrawn in cash through the withdrawal form. In return, these teachers were given Rs. 6-7 thousand. There were about 150 students enrolled in its B.Ed course. Students did not come to college. From studies to all other activities, everything was done on paper only. Students used to just take exams and get degrees.
Property worth Rs 4.52 crore seized
ED has so far seized 18 movable and immovable properties of Bacha Rai acquired from illegal earnings. These include bank accounts, property documents and other things. Their official value is said to be Rs 4 crore 53 lakh.
