Bihar Public Service Commission Extends Application Deadline For 70th CCE 2024 To Nov 4


The youth preparing for the BPSC or the Bihar Public Service Commission exam can now look forward to its commencement. Earlier, the last day to apply for the 70th Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) 2024 was October 18. Now, according to the notification, interested candidates can apply until November 4 for the exam. Furthermore, apart from the deadline expansion, the commission has also increased the number of seats in the test. The application is to be submitted on the official website of the commission.

Going by the information given, 70 new vacancies have been added by the commission. The earlier number stood at 1957, which is now 2027. These posts are made available across 27 departments in the government of Bihar reportedly between the levels of 7 and 9. The tentative date of the examination is said to be December 13. The commission aims to fill several posts through this examination. These include 200 for SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate), 136 for Superintendent of Police, 12 for District Commandant, 3 for Superintendent of Tax, 168 for State Tax Assistant Commissioner, 11 for Under Registrar, 12 for Under Election Officer, 50 for Bihar. Education Service, 12 Assistant Director posts, 9 for Child Protection Services and nine posts in Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities. According to the BPSC, around 7 to 8 lakh students are expected to appear in the examination.

To apply for the exam, a candidate should have a graduate degree. Candidates from the general category have to pay Rs 600 as an application fee, while the SC/ST and Disabled category candidates have to pay Rs 150, as per the information provided.
