Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra is inviting applications for admission to Bachelor of Pharmacy-Lateral Entry 2024 (B Pharm Lateral Entry-2024) for recently passed D Pharma candidates in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Candidates who have recently passed or appeared in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination Part-2 (not earlier than 2023) with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD) can apply. Applying candidates must have passed class 12th/ISC or equivalent qualifying examination. Must have passed English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology in class 12th/ISC or equivalent qualifying examination with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PWD). Marks in class 12 will be calculated as the average of 4 subjects- English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st October 1999 in case of General/OBC category and 1st October 1994 in case of SC/ST/PWD are eligible for admission. Only the date of birth recorded in the Board of Secondary Education Class X (High School) certificate will be considered authentic. Application will be online. Fees to apply: Application fee of Rs 1,500 (General/OBC/EWS candidates) and Rs 1,000 (SC/ST candidates) must be paid through ICICI payment gateway. Fee once paid is non-refundable.
The selection of the applicant will be done on the basis of merit
The candidate will be selected on the basis of merit. In this, 50 percent weightage will be given to academic performance in Diploma in Pharmacy (average of Part-1 and Part-2 Diploma in Pharmacy examination), 50 weightage will be given to academic performance in class 12/ISC or equivalent examination.
