The process of first phase counselling has been completed in Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Uttar Pradesh. A total of 59 percent seats have been filled in the first phase. The seat matrix for the second phase counselling will be released on July 19 morning. The counselling process will also start on Friday itself. Dean UG Prof. VK Mishra said that there are a total of 1189 seats for B.Tech in MMMUT. Out of these, 701 candidates have deposited the fee in the first phase counselling. A total of 488 seats have remained vacant after the first phase counselling. Out of the 10 percent quota (103) seats for other states, 44 seats have remained vacant. 444 seats have remained vacant for the students of Uttar Pradesh. If seats remain vacant, the third phase counselling will be held from July 27 to August 4. The fourth round counselling will be held from August 6 to 13. If seats remain vacant even after that, admission will be taken through spot round counselling.
75% seats of Computer Science are filled
The craze for Computer Science was also seen in the first round of counselling. Out of a total of 292 seats, 220 i.e. 75.34 percent seats were filled in the first round of counselling. Similarly, 60.38 percent seats of Electronics were filled. Out of 138 seats of IT, 84 i.e. 60.86 percent seats were filled. Out of 69 seats of Electronics IoT, 65.21 percent seats were filled. Around 60 percent seats of Mechanical and Civil Engineering have also been filled. More than 50 percent seats of Civil and Chemical Engineering remained vacant.

199 students chose their favourite subject
After the first round of counselling, a total of 199 candidates have chosen the freeze option. That is, they have taken admission in the subject allotted to them. A total of 502 candidates have chosen the float option by paying the prescribed fee. That is, they will wait for the next round of counselling for their preferred subject.
