The CBI has taken major action in the Patna NEET-UG paper leak case. The CBI has arrested three people, including one of the mastermind accused. The remaining two are said to be students of Bharatpur Medical College. These medical students have been identified as Kumar Mangalam Bishnoi and Deependra Kumar. It is alleged that they were playing the role of solvers. According to news agency ANI, technical surveillance has confirmed the presence of the accused in Hazaribagh on the day of the examination. The third arrested person, Shashi Kumar Paswan, is allegedly one of the mastermind accused.

21 arrested so far
Sources say that Shashi Kumar Paswan was providing all kinds of help to the mastermind. According to PTI, Shashi Paswan, one of the alleged masterminds, is a B.Tech graduate who was arrested by the CBI from NIT-Jamshedpur. Two MBBS students were also arrested along with the mastermind. Both of them allegedly played the role of 'solvers'. With this arrest, the number of accused arrested by the CBI in six cases related to irregularities related to the alleged paper leak has gone up to 21.

Medical students accused of being 'solvers'
According to a PTI report, the two arrested MBBS students are from a medical college in Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Officials said Kumar Mangalam Bishnoi, a second-year MBBS student, and Dipendra Sharma, a first-year student, were present in Hazaribagh on May 5, the day the NEET UG exam was held. The two were allegedly playing the role of 'solvers' for a paper stolen by an engineer named Pankaj Kumar.

Accused Shashi was working with the gang leader
Let us tell you that Pankaj Kumar has already been arrested. Officials said that Shashikant Paswan alias Shashi alias Pasu is a B.Tech (Electrical) passout from National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur. Shashikant Paswan was allegedly working in connivance with Pankaj Kumar and Rocky. Rocky has also already been arrested. According to a Hindustan Times report, Pankaj Kumar alias Aditya, a civil engineer of 2017 batch of National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), allegedly stole the NEET-UG paper from the NTA trunk in Hazaribagh.

Ranchi RIMS student also questioned
On Friday, the CBI arrested Surabhi Kumari, a first year MBBS student of Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ranchi, on charges of being a part of the 'solver module'. The CBI took Surabhi Kumari into custody after two days of detailed interrogation. According to a PTI report, the CBI team contacted the hospital management on Wednesday and said that they wanted to question the student Surabhi Kumari in connection with the NEET paper leak. The management gave full cooperation to the CBI team. This interrogation continued on Thursday as well.
