A great opportunity for the students of classes 6 to 10 is being presented by the Department of Science & Technology (DST) of the Central Government. The students will get a chance to work with the ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) and win the Inspire Award- MANAK.
According to Local18, students of private as well as government schools can apply for the Inspire Award- MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge). It is being done for the session of 2024-25; students between the classes of 6 and 10 are eligible to apply. As per more information, the applications are to be done online on the official website of the IT Department. The last date of application is September 15.
Interested candidates have to apply in the Inspire Award section of the website. It is important to note that an applicant's age should be between 10 and 15 years. If it is found to be above or lower than the mentioned age limit, the application will be rejected. It will be checked from the date of application. More information states that after the deadline of September 15, the ideas for the award will be selected before April 2025.
The students are advised to share their ideas as soon as they can and finish the process of application. After the submission of ideas, various committees and cells of the IT Department will engage in discussion for the best entry in the lot. Those lucky students will then be selected.
The students will be provided funds worth Rs 10,000 to bring their ideas to life in the form of a model. The money will be deposited in the student's bank accounts. Then, the model will be displayed in a district-level exhibition, which is scheduled to be held in April-May 2025.
