Due to the changes made in the pattern of the preliminary examination of Review Officer (RO) / Assistant Review Officer (ARO) 2023 by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, the examination of 10,76,004 candidates will be completed in just one and a half days. If we had followed the old system, it would have taken three days for the Commission to conduct the examination. Due to non-availability of examination centers and for the purpose of conducting the examination accurately, the Commission has decided to change the pattern. According to the government guidelines, even if government and aided secondary and higher educational institutions of all 75 districts are made examination centres, only a maximum of 4.80 lakh candidates can be conducted in a day.
As was seen in the constable recruitment examination last month. Even if the maximum capacity of all the centers was utilized, it would have taken three days to conduct the RO/ARO examination on the old pattern. In view of this, the Commission has decided to conduct one question paper of three hours instead of conducting separate examinations of General Studies and General Hindi (general vocabulary and grammar). Due to one shift of three hours, the examination of 10,76,004 candidates will be completed in three shifts in one and a half days.
If the period is short then the chances of fraud will be less.
Its second benefit will be that cleanliness is maintained due to the examination being conducted in less time. The more time it takes to conduct the examination, the greater the risk of burglary. It is noteworthy that the preliminary examination was conducted by the Commission on February 11 at 2387 centers in 58 districts for a total of 411 posts of 334 ROs and 77 AROs.
