The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was held on Sunday at 121 examination centers in the district. Strict security arrangements were made. The questions related to science in the exam troubled the candidates a lot. Student Pooja said that the paper was average. The questions were neither difficult nor easy. Now after the exam, the answer key of the exam will also be released as soon as possible. The CTET result will be announced at the end of August.
Which layer of the atmosphere has a very thin layer of air, who coined the phrase 'unity in diversity', who published a newspaper called Kesari, etc. were the main questions asked. The exam was held in offline mode in two shifts. Administrative officers kept running around to prevent any disturbance. The centre's co-ordinator had issued guidelines regarding the exam to all centre superintendents and observers, among others. Candidates were not allowed to enter any centre after the stipulated time. Electronic devices such as mobile phones, Bluetooth, earphones, microphones, pagers, health bands, etc. were not allowed to be carried to the centres.
Let us tell you that CBSE conducts CTET exam twice every year. The first exam is conducted in the month of July and the second in December. Successful candidates appearing in Paper-1 of CTET will be considered eligible for teacher recruitment for classes 1 to 5. While successful candidates appearing in Paper-2 will be considered eligible for teacher recruitment for classes 6 to 8. Candidates passing this exam can apply for appointment to the post of teachers in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya Vidyalaya and Army schools across the country. The validity of CTET certificate will be lifelong.
