The student who was struggling for admission in IIT due to not being able to deposit the fees on time, has got relief from the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court of the country said in its order that we cannot let talent go waste and ordered IIT Dhanbad to admit Dalit student Atul. Atul, a resident of Titaura village of Khatauli police station area, had counseling to take admission in IIT after passing JEE Advanced examination, in which he got number in Electrical in Dhanbad. IIT fees of Rs 17500 had to be deposited by 5 pm on 24th June. Due to lack of money at home, when he told his compulsions to the villagers, they helped him, but even before he could deposit the fees, the server was shut down. It is said that the IIT website was closed just four minutes and four seconds ago. After not getting admission in the college, the student first approached the Jharkhand Court and then reached the Supreme Court.

Let us tell you that the lawyer appearing on behalf of the students told the bench that the candidate's father was a daily wage laborer, hence he arranged for the admission fees. While making arrangements for Rs 17,500/-, the deadline for depositing the fees passed.

Let us tell you that the last date for depositing fees on the portal was June 24. Atul managed to arrange the money by 4.45 pm on June 24, but by the time the candidate uploaded the documents and proceeded to make the online payment, the deadline had already passed by 5 pm.

Atul's father works as a laborer. Atul is the youngest son of his father Rajendra. Atul's brother Mohit Kumar did M.Tech from NIT Hamirpur.
