A draw was held on Friday for admission to EWS seats in private schools of the capital Delhi. This draw was held for admission to reserved Economically Backward Class (EWS) / Deprived Class (DG) and Divyang category seats from Nursery to Class 1. During this, all 36,147 seats of EWS and DG were booked. For admission to these seats, the Directorate of Education has received 220066 registrations. During this period, 212487 applicants had completed the registration process. According to this, there were more than six claimants for one seat for admission.
The applicants selected in the draw have been informed about their selection on their registered mobile number. Apart from this, people can also check the list of students successful in the draw for admission on the Directorate of Education's website www.edudel.nic.in.
Admissions will be done till 28 June
As per the instructions of the Directorate of Education, if any student selected in EWS and Degree category does not report for admission in the respective schools by 100 pm on June 28, then the school can cancel his/her admission. Schools will not be able to ask for donation fees from the candidates selected in the draw. If any school does this, then it will not be tolerated. A punitive fine will be imposed on the school.

These documents will be valid
The documents submitted at the time of applying for admission will be valid at the time of admission. At the time of admission in school, it is necessary to have passport size photo, residence certificate and other documents.
