IAS Chandrashekhar says that he reached Allahabad for further studies. Where he came to know about civil services from his senior colleagues. During this time he came to know how to prepare for this exam. His first target was to become a teacher. Preparations start after graduation
After completing graduation, looking at other students and colleagues, I decided to try my hand at civil services. After graduation, also did post graduation studies. Cracked the preliminary exam in the first attempt. Then prepared for the mains exam with full dedication. Cleared the mains exam but failed in the interview. The result was no better in the second attempt. But he cracked the exam in the third attempt and became an IRS. But Chandrashekhar, who did not even know what IAS meant, now had to become an IAS officer.
IAS in the fourth attempt
