DU UG Admission 2024: About 1 lakh enrollments have been done for undergraduate admission in Delhi University. It is known that DU has a total of 71 thousand seats in various subjects of graduation. DU has released the portal for Common Seat Allocation System. In which students can fill their marks and necessary information. CUET marks are the basis for admission in graduation. Therefore, DU will open the second phase of common seat allocation after the CUET marks are released. DU has not yet announced the last date for enrollment.
According to the information received from DU, more than 95 thousand students had enrolled for DU at 5 pm. For the first time, DU has set a quota for single girl child. Under this quota, 2069 candidates had enrolled on Saturday. At the same time, a total of 70 candidates have applied under the orphan quota.
Counseling in IPU from next week
The counselling process for admission to BTech (Biotech) and MTech (Biotech) programmes at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University will begin from next week. Counselling for both these programmes will be conducted in offline mode at the Dwarka campus. Counselling for MTech (Biotech) will be held on June 10 and counselling for BTech (Biotech) will be held on June 12.
More than 58 hundred seats for special children remained vacant
For the academic session 2024-25, the draw has been held for admission to the reserved Economically Backward Class (EWS) / Deprived Class (DG) and Children with Special Needs (CWSN) category seats from nursery to class 1 in private schools. More than 5800 seats of CWSN category are vacant in the schools. According to the information, the Directorate of Education had received 903 applications for the CWSN category. In this, 859 seats were filled in the draw, while 6,716 seats were available for admission in schools. The Directorate had received very few applications for admission.
Steps taken by the Directorate to fill the seats Ekramul Haque, founder president of Mission Taleem, which guides parents for admission on EWS seats, said that the Directorate should make efforts to fill the seats of CWSN category. If the seat remains vacant, then it should be filled by converting it to EWS category. This will give admission to those whose name did not come in the draw.
