BTech vacant seats: Even after four phases of admission in government engineering colleges of Bihar, seats are not filled. Three thousand seats remain vacant. To fill this, a special round will be conducted once again. Its notification will be issued soon. BCECE will soon release the counseling date for the special round. There are 13675 seats in government engineering colleges of the state. To fill the seats in engineering colleges of the state, BCECE first conducted two rounds of counseling on the basis of JEE Main.
Enrollment for 46 percent seats was based on JEE Main rank. After this, two rounds of nominations were done for the remaining seats through PCM Group examination conducted through BCECE. The seats could not be filled even after these two rounds. Now nominations will be made on more than three thousand remaining seats through special round. The enrollment situation in government colleges is not good even after the government has provided more facilities than before. Whereas teachers have been appointed in engineering colleges. Placement has also been better than before. Based on the second merit list of JEE Main, till now only 46 percent students have been enrolled.
Enrollment was to be done for 13675 seats in 38 government engineering colleges of the state, after two rounds of JEE Main, only 6420 (46.95) seats could be enrolled. Here 7255 (53.05) seats remain vacant. In these vacant seats, seats are vacant in Computer Science as well as in many related streams. After the second round held in August, admission was 6507 out of 13675, in which 7168 seats remained vacant. But it was cancelled. Later 7255 seats are left. Let us tell you that BCECEB had decided to fill the remaining seats in engineering colleges from the candidates of PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Math) group on the basis of combined merit list of (BCECEB) 2024.
