There will be recruitment for 990 posts of clerks in the offices, institutions etc. of the Secondary and Basic Education Department of Uttar Pradesh across the state. The requisition has been sent to the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission by the office of Additional Director of Education (Basic) of Directorate of Education. The advertisement for selection will be issued by the commission itself. These 990 vacant posts include 115 posts of stenographer and 875 posts of junior assistant. Although 163 posts of stenographer and 3197 posts of junior assistant have been created. Out of these, only 22 and 1682 posts are filled respectively.
Requisition for 640 vacant posts of junior assistant and 26 vacant posts of stenographer has not been sent yet. Earlier, recruitment of clerks was done six years ago. The result of no recruitment since then is that out of 163 posts of stenographers, only 22 are filled.
The above recruitment will probably be done through PET score only. Candidates will be shortlisted for the main examination on the basis of PET score. Educational qualification for filling the posts of Junior Assistant will be Intermediate or its equivalent. Along with this, typing speed in Hindi should be 25 words and in English 30 words per minute. Along with this, Triple C computer certificate is also required.
