There is great news for students preparing for UPSC Civil Services Examination in Telangana. Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced that the youth who pass the UPSC Civil Services Main Examination will also be given a financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh each. Till now the state government has been giving incentives of Rs 1 lakh each to those who pass the prelims. Now the state government has decided to expand the scope of this scheme.
The Chief Minister said that the government will provide a financial aid of Rs 1 lakh to each student who clears the civil services preliminary exam and the main exam on the lines of the aid given to students who appear in the civil services main exam. Revanth Reddy was speaking at a function organised to distribute cheques of Rs 1 lakh each to over 130 youths who qualified for the civil services main exam this year under the Rajiv Civils Abhaya Hastham Scheme, The Hindu reported.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also claimed that his government has filled 30,000 vacancies within 90 days of assuming office. He also said that they are currently in the process of recruiting an additional 35,000 persons. He said that the government is setting up a 'Young India Skills University' to provide skill training to the youth to enhance their employment opportunities. Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra has agreed to serve as the chairman of the new skills university, whose board will be composed of top executives of major corporations.

Through this examination, officers are selected for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and other All India Services including the Indian Police Service (IPS). Every year about 9 to 10 lakh youth apply for it. The selection process of UPSC Civil Services consists of the stages of Prelims Exam, Main Exam and Interview.
