The spotlight is on the dynamic duo of IAS Ankita Panwar and IPS Ayush Yadav, who recently celebrated their engagement in a private ceremony held in Panchkula, Haryana, surrounded by close family members.
Ankita Panwar, hailing from Gosain village in Jind district, started her journey to civil services after completing her 12th class in Chandigarh with an impressive 97.6 per cent. With an academic flair, she secured a degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee after clearing JEE and landing a campus placement with a Rs 22 lakh package. Despite a successful corporate stint of two years, Ankita chose to follow her passion for civil services, ultimately securing an impressive 28th All India Rank (AIR) in UPSC 2022 and landing the coveted IAS post.
Ayush Yadav, a resident of Thathwadi village near Narnaul district, faced early challenges as his father passed away when he was just 8 years old. Raised by his mother, Ayush completed his engineering in Electronics Communication from NIT Kurukshetra. His journey into civil services began with clearing the Haryana PCS examination in 2019, leading to a job in the Excise and Taxation Department. Undeterred, Ayush aimed higher, securing 550th rank in UPSC 2020, followed by selection in DANICS. In UPSC 2021, he achieved a commendable 430th rank, earning him the prestigious IPS post.
The love story of Ankita and Ayush blossomed amid the challenges and triumphs of civil service preparation. Both officers have been allotted the Haryana cadre, adding a romantic chapter to their bureaucratic journey. The engagement ceremony marked not only the union of two souls but also a celebration of shared dreams, mutual respect and a commitment to serve society together.
