CA foundation and inter exams: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced changes in the pattern of CA Foundation and Inter examinations. According to the new guidelines, Foundation and Inter examinations will be conducted three times a year. Till now, CA Inter and Foundation exams were conducted twice a year by ICAI, but candidates will now get a chance to appear for CA Foundation and Inter exams thrice in a year.
The change in the exam pattern has been announced by ICAI Central Council Member (CCM) Dheeraj Khandelwal. He posted on his official While tweeting, he wrote, “CA will be conducted three times a year for Foundation and CA Inter level. Further updates will be clarified by ICAI soon.
The decision to conduct the examination thrice a year can prove to be beneficial for the students in the future, now the students are eagerly waiting for the next information related to the examination to be released.
Know about the exam
ICAI Foundation Examination is the first stage examination or entry level examination to become a Chartered Accountant (CA) in India. Students who have passed class 12th examination from any recognized institute can appear for CA Foundation exam. The second stage after passing the CA Foundation exam is CA Intermediate. In CA Intermediate stage, there are two groups of four subjects each. After clearing the foundation, a student becomes eligible to apply for CA intermediate courses. Then after that CA final examination is conducted, which is the last stage of becoming a CA.
Students are advised to rely only on the official websites icai.org and icai.nic.in for any information related to change in CA Foundation and Inter exam pattern. Although no notice related to the changed exam pattern has been updated on these websites yet, it is expected to be released soon.
