IIT Bombay's BTech Computer Science Engineering degree course has been the top choice of JEE Advanced toppers this year as well. In JoSAA counseling seat allocation, the opening rank of JEE Advanced for IIT Bombay's BTech CSE branch was 1 and the closing rank was 68. After this, the opening rank of IIT Delhi's BTech CSE branch was 27 and the closing rank was 116. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the opening and closing ranks for admission to BTech courses of IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs on its official website josaa.nic.in. Last year, out of the top 100 rankers of JEE Advanced, 89 had chosen IIT Bombay's Powai College as their first choice (Computer Science). Out of these, 67 were successful in getting admission in IIT Bombay. 23 opted for IIT Delhi and 9 for IIT Madras.

This time in JEE Advanced, Ved Lahoti of IIT Delhi zone topped all India by scoring 355 out of 360 marks. Among girls, Dwija Dharmeshkumar Patel of IIT Bombay zone topped by scoring 332 marks. Dwija Dharmeshkumar Patel's all India rank was 7. Out of 180,200 candidates who appeared for both JEE Advanced Paper 1 and 2 this year, a total of 48,248 candidates passed. These included 7,964 girls.
