B.Tech students of IIT ISM Dhanbad will do MBA from IIM Mumbai without CAT. The Senate meeting held at IIT Dhanbad on Thursday has passed the proposal. After this, the representatives of both the institutions will take this process forward. Director Prof. Sukumar Mishra, JUT Vice Chancellor Prof. DK Singh, Dean Academic Prof. MK Singh, Registrar Prabodh Pandey and other senators were present in the Senate meeting. Various agendas were placed in the Senate meeting. Soon there will be an MoU between IIT Dhanbad and IIM Mumbai. Students will have to participate in the selection process.
Sources say that only 15 BTech students will get the facility to do MBA from IIM Mumbai without CAT. Such students are required to score a minimum of 7.5 CGPA marks from the first semester to the seventh semester of BTech.
In the Senate meeting, the proposal to start four-year BSc BEd course in IIT Dhanbad got the green signal. There will be 120 seats. There will be 40 seats each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. This course will start from 2024-25.
