Indian Air Force know salary of flying officer to air chief marshal IAF Salary

According to the website of the Indian Air Force, during the training period, as soon as one is recruited at the officer rank, a salary of Rs 56,100 per month is given, which is paid in the last one year of training. After completing the training, on getting commissioned as a flying officer, the pay scale ranges from Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,77,500.

Special allowances are given

Apart from this, various types of allowances are also available in the Air Force. These include Transport Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Children Education Allowance etc. Along with this, special allowances are also given based on the place of posting and nature of duty, such as Flying Allowance, Technical Allowance, Field Area Allowance, Hill Area Allowance, Special Force Allowance, Siachen Allowance and many other special allowances. Newly commissioned officers of Flying and Technical Branch get special benefits of these allowances.

Military service pay for officers

Apart from salary and allowances, officers in the Air Force are also given military service pay of Rs 15,500 per month, which is given to officers from Flying Officer to Air Commodore rank.

Who gets the highest salary?

According to the salary structure of the Indian Air Force, a flying officer gets a salary of Rs 56,100 to Rs 1,10,700, a flying lieutenant gets Rs 61,300 to Rs 1,20,900, and a squadron leader gets Rs 69,400 to Rs 1,36,900. Higher positions like Air Chief Marshal get a monthly salary of Rs 2,50,000.
