ITI students will no longer have to give the All India Vocational Computer Based Exam in private online centers. These students will be able to give the exam in the high-tech labs built in Chargawan, Railway Colony, World Bank Mahila Asuran and Chaurichaura ITI. 385 students will be able to give the exam simultaneously at these four centers. Exams can be held in three shifts in a day. In this way, 1155 students can take the exam in a day.

Earlier, exams in ITI were held offline. But for the sake of transparency, exams are being held online on computers for the last three years. Since ITI institutes did not have their own system, exams were held at private online centers till now. This not only resulted in the expenditure of lakhs of rupees, but also created problems regarding supervision.

Candidates also had to face difficulties in getting admission in private centres. There was also scope for fraud through collusion with online centres. Now all ITI exams in the country are held simultaneously. All India Vocational Computer Base Exam is proposed in July or August.

To make the computer labs high-tech, the ITI of the district is being strengthened technically. In this sequence, 100 Mbps lease line will be installed in Khajni, Campierganj and Bansgaon ITI for high-speed internet. The tender process for this is underway. With its installation, examinations as well as practicals will be possible in the high-tech lab. IT experts say that the internet speed will be very good with a 100 Mbps lease line. This will also prevent the problem of server down.

Keeping in mind the sanctity of the exam, the All India Professional Computer Base Exam proposed in July and August will be held in the ITI campus itself. The computer lab has been developed using computers received from CSR funds and local resources. This will not only help in conducting the exam in a transparent manner but will also save revenue.
