The question papers of both Paper-1 and Paper-2 of JEE Advanced exam have been released. These can be downloaded by visiting the official website jeeadv.ac.in. The answer key of JEE Advanced will be released on 31st May, on which objections can be registered from 2nd to 3rd June. JEE Advanced result will be released on 9th June. Admission in 23 IIT institutes will be done on the basis of performance in JEE Advanced.
What the students who came out of JEE Advanced 2024 exam on Sunday said
A total of 690 candidates appeared for this exam held at two exam centres in Dhanbad. According to many students who came out after giving the exam, the questions were easy, due to which they feel that the cut off will increase. 690 students appeared for the exam at I-ion Digital located at Barwaadda and 220 students appeared in Perth Zone. This exam was conducted in two shifts. The first shift exam was held from 9 am to 12 noon. The second shift exam started at 2.30 pm and continued till 5.30 pm. The exam was completed peacefully at both the exam centres. Focus Institute director Ajayveer Singh said that this year the JEE Advanced question paper was moderate, where very easy questions were asked from Maths and Chemistry. This year the Maths questions were asked quite easily in the last seven years. The first paper of Physics was also easy, but the questions of the second paper of Physics were confusing. Although these questions were not difficult but they were confusing. It took time for the candidates to solve them. Many candidates said that they could not solve all the questions of Physics.
FIITJEE experts said that chemistry was not balanced in paper one as organic chemistry was given more weightage. Inorganic chemistry, some questions were directly from NCERT. Physical chemistry questions included chapters of chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, atomic structure and thermodynamics. In organic chemistry, questions were mostly asked from amines, polymers, biomolecules, oxygenated compounds, some named reactions were also asked. In physics, chapters like kinematics, rotational motion, kinetic theory of gases, modern physics, capacitors, current electricity, optics, electrostatics, electromagnetic induction were given more weightage. Mathematics had easy to moderate level questions. Questions were asked from chapters like functions, limits, application of derivatives, definite integrals, area under a curve, inverse trigonometric functions, etc.
Admission granted after examination
Candidates said that they were allowed entry into the centre only after checking. The first shift was from 9 am to 12 pm and the second shift was from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The gates of the centre were opened one and a half hour before the exam. Biometric attendance was taken during registration. This was checked at the centre before the exam.
Power went out, extra time given
Students who came out from a centre in Shyam Nagar in Kanpur, UP after giving the morning shift exam, said that the power went off for about 20 to 30 minutes. Fans etc. were not working. Some were sitting under a tin shed.
Ruckus outside the centre – Ravi Shukla alleged that his son Kartikeya was being made to sit under a tin and take the exam. When the power went out, his health deteriorated and he fainted. People at the centre gave him juice and changed his position.
