JEE Main: The first day of JEE Main session-2 examination was completed peacefully on Thursday, April 4. According to experts, the Maths section in the morning shift exam of JEE Main Paper-1 was average. The level of difficulty was moderate. Many students who appeared for the paper said that many questions were long and complicated. Generally questions came from all chapters from class 11th and 12th CBSE syllabus. Questions were asked from all chapters with emphasis on Calculus and Algebra chapters. More than one question was asked from Vector, 3D Geometry, Differential Equations and Conic section. In Calculus, questions came from Function, Continuity and Differentiability, Definite Integral, Area. In Algebra, questions came from Probability, Binomial Theorem, Complex Numbers, Statistics, Progression, Matrices etc.
Experts and students considered the Physics and Chemistry sections as easy. In Physics, questions asked from Kinematics, Gravitation, Circular Motion, Heat and Thermodynamics, Magnetism-2 questions, Wave Optics, Current Electricity-2 questions, Electrostatics, Modern Physics, Semi-conductors. Both MCQ and numerical based questions were long but easy. Some fact based questions were also asked from NCERT Class 12th chapters. Students described Physics as quite balanced.

Ramesh Batlish, Head of FIITJEE Noid Central, said that in Chemistry, more importance was given to organic and physical chemistry than to inorganic chemistry. He said that questions were asked from Electrochemistry, Thermodynamics, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding-2 questions, General Organic Chemistry-2 questions, Alcohol, Ether and Phenol, Amine. Questions came from mixed concept type questions on Aryl and Alkyl Halides, Coordination Compounds and Periodic Table.
Admit cards for JEE Main exam of 8, 9 and 12 April released
NTA has also released the admit cards for the engineering entrance exam JEE Main to be held on April 8, 9 and 12. Candidates whose exam is on 8th, 9th and 12th April can download their admit card by visiting jeemain.nta.ac.in. Earlier, the admit cards of JEE Main exam proposed on 4th, 5th and 6th April were released. Let us tell you that JEE Main exam has started today from 4th April. The exam for Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech) will be conducted in two shifts each day from April 4 to April 9 and for Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning) on April 12. JEE Main computer based examination is being conducted at 544 centers in 297 cities. A total of 12.57 lakh candidates have registered for Session-2, out of which 75 per cent have already appeared for the January session.
After the completion of JEE Main examinations of both the sessions, the rank of the students will be released on the basis of the best NTA score of both the sessions. Candidates securing first 2,50,000 ranks in JEE Main result will be eligible to apply for JEE Advanced test. Admission to IIT is done through JEE Advanced.
