NVS JNV JNVST 2025: Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has started the registration process for JNVST (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test 2025) entrance exam for admission in class VI for the academic session 2025-26. Students wishing to take admission in class VI of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas can apply online by visiting the official website of NVS navodaya.gov.in. Online applications have started from 16 July 2024. The last date to apply is 16 September 2024. Students will be selected on the basis of performance in JNVST 2025 exam. This entrance exam will be for a total of 653 vacant seats of class VI.
Qualification & Age Limit
To take part in this entrance exam, the candidate must be born between 1-05-2013 to 32-07-2016 (both dates inclusive). Candidates studying in class 5th in the academic year 2024-25 from government / government aided or other recognized schools can apply for this. Students should be in class 5th in the school of the same district in which they are seeking admission in Navodaya Vidyalaya.
No candidate can apply for the entrance exam for the second time. Keep in mind that 75 percent of the seats in the district will be filled by students from rural areas. SC, ST OBC, Divyang reservation will be done as per the government rules.
This time there are two phases of the exam, know the dates
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST 2024) exam will be conducted in two phases.
Phase-1 – The exam will be held on 12th April 2025 in Dibang Valley and Tawang districts of Jammu & Kashmir (except Jammu-I, Jammu-II, Samba and Udhampur), Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh, Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmaur, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti, Shimla districts of Himachal and Darjeeling and Leh and Kargil districts of Ladakh in West Bengal.
Phase-2 – The entrance exam will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11.30 am in these states- Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh (districts except Dibang Valley and Tawang), Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh (districts except Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmaur, Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti and Shimla), Jammu and Kashmir (only Jammu-I, Jammu-II, Samba and Udhampur), Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tripura, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal (except Darjeeling), Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Delhi, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.

The selection test will be of 2 hours. The exam will be conducted from 11:30 am to 01:30 pm. It will have 3 sections, which will have objective type questions. There will be a total of 80 questions which will be of 100 marks.
Mental Ability Test — 40 questions — 50 marks — 60 minutes
Arithmetic Test —20 questions— 25 marks— 30 minutes
Language test —-20 questions— 25 marks— 30 minutes
Total —–80 questions— 100 marks— 1 hour
1.25 marks will be given for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking. The result of the exam will come in the month of March.
